Czech Expo Pavilion 2020 – Structural Engineering

Scope: It was an honor to take part in the project of Czech pavilion for Expo 2020 in Dubai. Alongside the solar irradiation study, we also carried out the structural design of a giant metal sculpture by the artist Jan Dostál, made from almost 11 miles of stainless steel tubes of various diameter. During the project we verified our assumptions and calculation methods on a mockup of one of the "strands."
