Cable layout optimization
| Scope: | Parametric script using evolutionary solver to facilitate the workshop design of around 1000 linear meters of small-diameter suction cables reinforcing the outer cushion layer. The form of the cables consists of straight lines (both free ends) and geodesic curve (in contact with the cushion). Thanks to the exact determination of the cable length, no turnbuckles were needed, thus saving costs and speeding up installation. |
